Are teachers allowed to do scheduling, why not?

Teachers at Plymouth School of Music are NOT allowed to do any scheduling/rescheduling of lessons. Teachers have tried this in the past and it has created a lot of confusion and created problems to the point of students quitting. Please believe me that we are just trying to make everyone's lives easier from the Student to the Teacher to our Directors job. What’s more, a part of the fee that the studio takes from each lesson goes to help with the scheduling process. As a teacher, your job is to just show up and teach. Any energy that you spend outside of creating and giving great lessons is wasted energy.
