  • How to get started

If a lesson is running a few minutes late, what should you do to make your next student (who is waiting) feel more comfortable?

If you have to run more than a couple minutes (2-3) late, please walk out and tell your next student that you will be with them in a couple minutes This will help to keep there stress & anxiety under control as they won’t be sitting there worrying if they have made a mistake and come on the wrong day and will be a little less likely to sit there stewing about someone else using their time. Remember, we charge higher rates than most because we provide better lessons and customer service. People have higher expectations of us than other music schools and private lesson teachers. If you are running more than 5 minutes late and you cannot makeup the time at the end of the class. If you have an opening before or after the student the next week, ask the student to come a little earlier or stay  a little later the next week to makeup for the missed class time.  If you do offer for the student to come in a little early or stay late the next week, please call the school to let us know so that we can reserve the time.  If none of these are an option, ask the student to call the school to get credit for the lesson (no charge).  Please try to email or call us yourself to let us know in case the student forgets about it.  They will remember when the bill comes and then it will be hard for us to figure out what happened a month ago.
